The Small Animal Veterinary Technician works within the scope and guidelines of SACS and AVMA accrediting bodies as well as OSHA and USDA. This person will work closely with students and designated faculty and will assist in the supervision of lab and clinical activities for assigned courses and educational activities under the direction of the designated faculty. Preparation of these laboratories might include organization of resources including faculty, animals, student groups, equipment for laboratory, and consumables for laboratories. The Small Animal Veterinary Technician will be required to aid in set up labs, and properly clean, inventory and replace equipment.

Veterinary Information Specialist Description The Veterinary Information Specialist position is responsible for responding to incoming cases on Pet Poison Helpline and SafetyCall’s industry side via the telephone, email, and chat applications regarding potential toxic exposures, poisonings and other adverse events from pet owners and veterinarians related to various household and consumer products, animal health products, plants, OTC products, dietary supplements, prescription drugs, and other chemical exposures. Specialists take full histories and details of the events, triage the cases and provide accurate medical, health and safety information to the callers. Specialists document each case in an electronic record and follow up as necessary to ensure the well-being of the animals and facilitate adverse event reporting on the industry side. Wellness and Spay-Neuter Clinic in Rogersville, TN

Our focus is on Wellness services with an emphasis on

dentistry and Spay-Neuter services. We have dental x-ray

and perform surgical extractions.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Surgery Prep, anesthesia monitoring, dental assisting (will train the

right candidate)

Assist with wellness appointments, check-in of surgery patients,

treatment and monitoring hospitalized patients

Process lab specimens and run in-house labs
