Job Description: The Technician-Small Animal works within the scope of practice for the Veterinary Technician as described by the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as the guidelines of OSHA and USDA. This person will work closely with students and designated faculty and will assist in the supervision of labs and clinical activities for assigned courses under the direction of designated faculty. This person will be required to aid in set up of labs, properly clean, inventory, replace equipment, and teach in clinical skills labs where appropriate under the supervision of a veterinarian.
*Minimum of A.S. or A.A.S. in Veterinary Medical Technology;
*Currently holds, or eligible to hold a valid veterinary technician license in the Commonwealth of Virginia state.

Veterinary Information Specialist: This position is responsible for responding to incoming cases on Pet Poison Helpline and SafetyCall’s industry side regarding potential toxic exposures, poisonings and other adverse events from pet owners and veterinarians related to various household products, animal health products, plants, OTC products, dietary supplements, prescription drugs, and other chemical exposures. Specialists take full histories and details of the events, triage the cases and provide accurate medical, health and safety information to the callers. Specialists document each case in an electronic record and follow up as necessary to ensure the well-being of the animals and facilitate adverse event reporting on the industry side. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Shifts will be 8 ½ hours long scheduled between 9AM-7PM CST. Positions do not have a set schedule. Shift times and days will vary and include weekends, typically 2-3 per month as well as some holidays.
1. Active CVT/LVT/RVT License
2. 1+yrs of experience in a vet clinic, emergency experience preferred
3. Excellent communication, computer, and math skills Remote
4.Must be willing to obtain/maintain at their expense certain IT requirements and have a designated home office area. They may not have any other responsibilities during shifts such as caring for dependents.
