2nd place winner- Carroll County Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and a NO-KILL Animal Shelter in West Tennessee.

Shelter Animal Rescue Group (SARG)
A small, all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue group that adopts primarily from Oak Ridge local animal shelter, although they occasionally take in hardship cases.

The Tennessee Veterinary

Technician Association

donated $250 to a local

Zoo and exotic animal rescue.

The Little Ponderosa Zoo

located in Clinton TN,

sustained major damage

to their facilities, in a fire

on December 4, 2017.

One of the main barns was destroyed and over 45 animals perished in the fire, including reptiles, birds, primates, goats and many other species. The Zoo intends to rebuild and the community has donated food, supplies and temporary tents.
